1. What types of natural materials are used for the shades?

All shades are crafted from sustainable, natural materials such as bamboo, jute, reeds, grasses, and ramie. Each material is carefully selected for its durability, texture, and eco-friendliness.

2. How accurate are the product colors shown on your website?

We aim to display our product colors as accurately as possible on our website. However, differences in screen settings, lighting, and device types can cause colors to appear slightly different from how they look in person. Because of this, the color of the actual product may vary slightly from what you see on your screen.

We’d also like to suggest that you order all of your blinds of a given color at one time, since there can be slight variations between dye lots.

3. What is Inside or Outside Mount?

Roman shades can be mounted either inside or outside the window frame. An inside mount fits neatly within the frame, offering a clean, tailored look while showcasing the window’s architectural features. An outside mount, installed above the frame, can make windows appear larger and adds a bold, dramatic touch—ideal for covering trim or maximizing light control.

4. Inside Mount Width Deduction?

Please measure your window according to our measuring guide (加連結). For inside mount installations, we will automatically deduct 0.95 cm from the width during production to ensure a proper fit.

1. Can natural shades block out light completely?

While natural weaves offer beautiful texture and filtered light, full blackout is achievable with an added lining. We offer several lining options based on your light control needs.

2. Are your shades safe for homes with children or pets?

Yes. We prioritize safety by offering cordless options and additional safety features for corded shades such as cord cleats, breakaway tassels, and cord loop safety devices. All our shades are designed to comply with European safety standard EN 13120, which outlines mandatory requirements for the protection of children and pets around window coverings.

3. Do you offer free fabric samples?

Yes, we offer complimentary swatches so you can see and feel the material before you order. Choose up to 4 free samples, delivered right to your door.

4. How to clean and maintain natural shades?

Our shades are easy to maintain - regular dusting or light vacuuming with a brush attachment is usually enough. Avoid moisture and spot clean with a dry cloth when needed.

5. Is a No-Drill Shade Option Available?

Yes, we offer no-drill mounting brackets for inside-mount cordless bamboo shades ranging from 45 cm to 125 cm in width. Drill-mount brackets are also included for flexibility. For step-by-step instructions, please refer to our installation tutorial video.

6. Do your window shades come with a warranty?

We stand behind the quality of our custom window shades with a 3-Year Limited Warranty.

What’s Covered:

  • Manufacturer defects
  • Shipping damage (must be reported with supporting photos within 15 calendar days of receiving your order)
  • Materials, operating mechanisms, and other parts for up to 3 years from the date of delivery, provided the window covering is installed according to the included installation instructions

Important Details:

  • Warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable
  • Damage due to improper installation, misuse, alterations, accidents, or normal wear and tear is not covered
  • Slight differences in texture, weave, or color that naturally occur in materials, along with gradual color changes over time, are a normal part of the product and are not considered defects covered by this warranty.
  • This warranty does not cover damage caused by prolonged exposure to heat, direct sunlight, or moisture. It also excludes issues arising from improper cleaning, any alterations or modifications, and damage caused by pets, children, or insects.
  • Claims made after the 15-calendar day for shipping damage may not be accepted.

To submit a warranty claim, please contact our Customer Service team with your order number and photos of the issue.

1. What if I need help placing an order?

We’re here to help! Our customer support team is available via chat or email to guide you through the selection and ordering process.

2. Can I make an amendment to my order once it has been placed?

We understand that sometimes changes are needed, and we'll do everything we can to help. However, since our blinds are custom-made and production starts very quickly, it’s not always possible to make adjustments once an order is confirmed. If you do need to make a change, please reach out to us immediately and we’ll see what we can do.

3. Can I cancel my order after it's been placed?

Because our window shades are custom made to your exact specifications, they cannot be resold. For this reason, we ask that you carefully review your order before finalizing your purchase.

Orders can be cancelled for a full refund within 12 business hours of payment confirmation or before the order has shipped, whichever comes first.

Once your order has been shipped, you will receive a notification with the carrier name and tracking number.

Please note: Cancellations are not accepted after an order has been shipped.

1. How long will it take for my order to ship after it's placed?

Our custom-made window shades typically take 10-12 business days to produce before they are shipped. Once your order is completed, you’ll receive a tracking number once your order ships so you can monitor its progress.

If you require shades by a certain date, please contact us at support@nnshades.com to confirm the time frame and order it in advance.

On rare occasions, delays may arise due to factors such as material shortages, production capacity, shipping delays, or other circumstances beyond our control. In such cases, we will promptly inform you.

2. Which countries do you ship?

We offer worldwide shipping.
